It always bugged me that I never had a proper place to post released content, so I finally got around to rectifying that. Underneath the server information forum is now a new subforum where anyone can post content they've made, be it skins, models, maps or anything else you think fits there. It is open for you to post in so if you have something you'd like to release, feel free to make use of it.

This is more relevant to the remaining PHW people than anyone else, but we are now affiliated with Phenomena On Break (http://phenomenaonbreak.net/). Made up of some of the PHW old-timers, it's a nice place to go for comics and perhaps to catch up with some of the people from our past.

In lieu of a Christmas video, I decided to offer another state of the union-esque post for you all. To begin with, how about this: Image: http://www.mine-dog.net/forum/../files/merrychristmasphw.png I'm aware that the current news setup doesn't permit images to be posted on the front page, but Foszor/Brandon is currently working on redoing the front page. At this time you can see a working version of it here (http://www.foszor.net/), assuming that he doesn't have his blog up instead. Our Left 4 Dead servers have been stagnant. This isn't our fault, it's just that I expected L4D to be better suited for community support, but Valve in their infinite wisdom settled on an inferior system of managing the game. As such, some changes will be made very shortly: Two Left 4 Dead servers will be dropped. Server 1 will remain online for us to use. Server 2 will be replaced with the TF2 server again, and Server 3 is in limbo until something else is ready to replace it. Foszor and I are reworking Zinger (as you well know) and perhaps that will be an option in the near future. Foszor and I are also discussing a monthly rotation of games on the three servers. One month run L4D, TF2, and then replace them with a new rotation of games each month to keep things fresh. What do you think of this? What games would you be interested in playing? Let us know in this thread. With 2008 swiftly vanishing, let's all look forward to the Radiant Future and hope that 2009 brings us better times and may we all have a Happy New Year.

The three Left 4 Dead servers are up now. You will need to be part of the steam community to be able to access them. The community is open, once you've joined it, look under Campaigns and you will see a separate tab listing community servers. There are two coop servers and one versus server for you guys to use, so have a go at it. Yes, I am still working on the banners, I know all about them.

We encourage Mine-Dog members to play on public servers and spread the site to as many people as possible, however we wish this is done in a respectful and peaceful manner. The members below have been reported to have publically defaced the site in such a harmful manner that we felt it is necessary to warn public server owners that these people may misbehave on your server to damage our credibility. We want to distance ourselves as far as we possibly can from their actions while wearing a [Mine-Dog.net] tag, which is why each name posted in the "Troublesome Members" (http://www.mine-dog.net/forum/showthread.php?p=75158) thread will be posted with their corresponding Steam:ID and a link to the original topic to explain why they are on this list. Furthermore, if you wish to complain about one of our members, please create a new topic in the Gaming Forum. ---Quote--- As of now (08.11.2008/DD.MM.YYYY), Mine-Dog will actively pursue members who harm Mine-Dog by acting disrespectfully on public servers using a Mine-Dog tag or affiliating with Mine-Dog while performing these actions. *Infraction policy:* * If complaints are made on the forum about one or more users with a log _by the person making the complaint_, yet no other evidence, there will be a general infraction not worth any points or causing the exilation of the member(s) in question. * In the case of evidence coming from: a. The member in question b. The word of a member of staff (Unless the member in question is a member of staff) without further visual evidence such as screenshots, video or other media together with a steam:id, the member will be reprimanded by short term exilation and an addition to a "Troublesome Members" sticky in the Gaming Forum (see below). He will also be temporarily (or permanently) barred from all public Mine-Dog servers. * In the case of incriminating evidence in visual and audio form in the case of screenshots and video (audio is hard to verify unless the voice is very recognizable by a key member of staff) _and_ a matching steam:id, the evidence will be evaluated and judging by the severity of the harm done, the member in question may risk temporary or permanent removal from the forum. This does not include members of staff. He will also be temporarily (or permanently) barred from all public Mine-Dog servers. ---End Quote---

Yes, we're experiencing some technical difficulties. If it doesn't settle itself down it'll be fixed by morning when Morpheous wakes up. In other news, everyone seems to be enjoying the Left 4 Dead demo so I will be looking into purchasing some servers for it with the funds we have remaining. I already have names picked out.
