About me
About mine dogs:
I'm sure many of you will wonder, "Just what IS a mine dog?" A mine dog is literally what you see at the top of this site: a dog with a landmine strapped to its back. The Soviets, in the Second World War, were pretty desperate in finding ways to disable or destroy advancing German armor. Some enterprising young lads decided to try training dogs to run underneath tanks, thus triggering a detonator (you can see it sticking up from the dog's back) on a landmine they would wear. Good idea, no?
Actually no, it's not a good idea. Those of you who know better might have noticed that the dog is running towards a Russian tank. The Russians trained the dogs by placing food under tanks to make the dogs run underneath them. However, they did not take into account the fact that the dogs were trained on their own tanks, so when they were sent into the field, they turned right back around and...well, you get the idea. Mine dogs were not used again after that.
<Pycckuu> the mine dog is just a random street dog they took away from some little kids probably
About me:
I live in Ohio, I'm 19 years old. I am currently a typist for a local newspaper, The Review Newspapers. It's a good job, doesn't pay too well but is very convenient and I only have to work three days a week. That's the boring shit.
Fun things I do: I used to, until recently, make comics for a website (which can be found in the links page). I'm also a World War II re-enactor with the 39th Guards Rifles Division, Red Army, and my father and I are amateur ultralight pilots. I also collect guns and militaria, and I enjoy drawing. Especially women. Soviet women. I can't help it.
You may have noticed some of the images on the right under the navbar on certain pages look like they could be me. That's a good observation, as not only could they be me, they are indeed me.

This is probably me too. Look at all those Mosin Nagants!
